If you are accessing PCFLO via a web browser, then be sure to download
files README.TXT and HOWDY.ZIP.

Transmittal letter regarding PCFLO Version 4.3, 500 bus capability.

January 16, 1998. Univ. of Texas at Austin, Austin, Texas.

PCFLO, FAULTS, and HARMPLOT are intended to run
under Windows 95.

The instructions on page 2 of the user manual describe how to get
started. The user manual is found in two Microsoft Word files -
USERMAN1.DOC and USERMAN2.DOC.

PCFLO reads from local data files BDAT, LDAT, ADAT, OPTIONS, plus
others. You must copy your data into these local file names
prior to running PCFLO.

PCFLO reads column-formatted data, comma-separated (CSV), or
tab-separated data (TSV). CSV/TSV data make it easy to use
Microsoft Excel or Works for preparing your input data and
examining your output results. Their sorting features are
especially helpful in reviewing, for example, total harmonic
distortion at busses, or in finding transmission lines with
overloads or busses with high or low voltages.

You will find that HOWDY.ZIP contains some column- formatted
data files, and some comma-separated or tab-separated data (CSV/TSV)
files. Four CSV header files are also enclosed that you may find
helpful when using Excel or Works (files BDAT.HDR, LDAT.HDR,
ADAT.HDR, SPECTRA.HDR). These header files should be placed at the
top of CSV/TSV input data to describe the content of the spreadsheet
columns.

For your information, PCFLO treats any row in a CSV/TSV input file
that has a colon in column 1 as a comment line.

If you choose to work with column-formatted data files, then the
DOS editor EDIT will work nicely because it displays column numbers.

Thanks, and I will appreciate any feedback or suggested
improvements that you are willing to provide.
